BERMUDA GOMBEY​

On my very first visit to Bermuda, I came across a troupe of dancing Gombeys in one of the town squares. They were absolutely captivating. I found it difficult to focus on the elaborate costume details because of their frantic movements.

Ever since that fist encounter, I made it a mission to learn all I can about Gombeys. It’s a real treat to stumble upon a spontaneous performance which can happen just about anywhere.
