RA01

This DVD project is a compilation of 12 individual musicians using the same keyboard instrument, a Kyma.

 

RA01 is a multi-sensory experience for your eyes, hands and ears. Contained in a stamped aluminum case is a deck of 12 matte cards. The cards are dedicated to each particants and, when combined, an animated flip book can be found or, when laid out, form a poster.

 

The basic binary code structure of the musical instrument used for this project is reflected in the design details, for instance the UPC, iconic codes, genetic code - double-helix resembles two out-of-phase sine waves.
